Logo Guidelines

The Aflatoun International logo is the cornerstone of our brand identity, representing our global mission to empower children and youth through social and financial education. Consistent and proper logo usage across all materials ensures immediate brand recognition and maintains the professional integrity we’ve built over two decades of impact worldwide.

Primary Logo

Our primary logo combines the distinctive Aflatoun wordmark with the tagline “Social and Financial Education”. This is the preferred version for all applications where space permits, establishing our authority and presence in the social and financial education sector.

The logo design reflects our modern, approachable character while maintaining the gravitas appropriate for our work with educational institutions, government partners, and international organizations across 116+ countries.

Logo Variations

Full Logo (Primary)
The complete Aflatoun International logo, including both the main wordmark and a tagline “Social & Financial Education”. Use this version whenever possible to maximise brand recognition and communicate our global presence.

Abbreviated Logo
When space constraints require a more compact solution, the abbreviated version removes the tagline while maintaining the core Aflatoun identity. This version should only be used at very small sizes or in tight layout situations.

Symbol/Icon Version
For applications requiring minimal space (such as social media profile pictures, app icons, or watermarks), a simplified symbol version maintains brand presence without compromising legibility.

Clear Space Requirements

Maintain adequate, clear space around the logo to ensure maximum impact and legibility. The minimum clear space equals the height of the letter “A” in “AFLATOUN” on all sides. No text, imagery, or other design elements should appear within this protected zone.

This clear space requirement applies to all logo variations and must be respected across all applications, from business cards to large-format banners.

Minimum Size Standards

Print Applications:
Never reproduce the logo smaller than 25mm (1 inch) in width for the full version, or 20mm (0.75 inch) for the abbreviated version.

Digital Applications:
Minimum width of 120 pixels for the full logo, 100 pixels for the abbreviated version to ensure legibility across all devices and screen resolutions.

When the logo appears at these minimum sizes, consider using the abbreviated version to maintain optimal legibility and professional appearance.

Color Specifications

Full Color (Preferred)
Use the brand colour palette specified in our colour guidelines. The logo should appear in full colour whenever possible to maximise brand impact and recognition.

White
For situations requiring monochrome reproduction, use the white version on dark backgrounds. Ensure adequate contrast for optimal legibility.

Prohibited Uses

Never:

• Distort, stretch, or alter the logo proportions
• Change or substitute fonts within the logo
• Add effects, shadows, or outlines to the logo
• Use unauthorised colour combinations
• Place the logo on busy or low-contrast backgrounds
• Rotate the logo at any angle
• Separate elements of the logo or use them independently
• Use outdated versions of the logo

Background Applications

Light Backgrounds
Use the standard full-color logo or single-color version (white) for optimal contrast and visibility.

Dark Backgrounds
Apply the white version of the logo to ensure proper contrast and legibility.

Photographic Backgrounds
When placing the logo over photography, ensure sufficient contrast by using solid colour backgrounds, transparent overlays, or positioning the logo in areas of the image with minimal detail.

File Formats and Technical Specifications

Vector Formats: EPS, AI, and SVG files for scalable applications and professional printing
Raster Formats: PNG (with transparency) and JPG files for digital and web use
Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for print applications, optimized versions for web use

Logo Approval Process
